One of the most amazing things about being part of the RE/MAX network, is that the RE/MAX network is made up of people. Real people. People who feel blessed for their lifestyle and opportunities, people who feel compassion towards those less fortunate, people who feel called to help others.

Although we’re already months past the holidays, when “giving back” seems to take center stage, we wanted to share a few of the amazing things the fine folks in our RE/MAX network did to help others!

Who knows, maybe you’ll even get some ideas!

Movies for Miracles

RE/MAX Solutions in Watertown, WI has been hosting a classic movie night, raising funds for CMN for 18 years. Broker/Owner Rich Moen works with their local movie theatre and various other local vendors to host an evening featuring a classic movie. Community members pay a flat cover charge for the evening, which includes reserved seating, a buffet dinner, plus beer and wine. During the intermission there is a silent auction to peruse. Their 2018 movie was a record event for RE/MAX Solutions, raising more than $8,800. To date, the event has generated more than $107,000 to CMN, locally benefiting Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.

Shopping Spree

Agents at RE/MAX Synergy, with multiple offices in Minnesota and western Wisconsin, donate a portion of their commissions each year to the Muske Community Support Foundation. Before the holidays, several agents go on a group shopping spree. This year, a group of agents went shopping at the local Walmart and purchased over $3,600 of gifts for their local Santa Anonymous. Since they started the foundation in the late 90s they have donated back more than half a million dollars to the communities they serve!

Winter Warmup

RE/MAX Realty Center agent Christine Leny initiated their first annual Cap, Scarf and Glove drive.  Christine and her colleague Beth Duffy from the Oconomowoc, WI office worked hand-in-hand with their lending partner and local Martinizing dry cleaner to collect, clean and donate more than 200 items. They dropped them off a their local VFW to support local veterans and their families.

Toy Drive

RE/MAX Legends Group in Indianapolis, IN supports a local toy drive each year. Working in conjunction with RTV6, the fine folks at RE/MAX Legends Group help promote and raise awareness of the toy drive. Residents can drop off toys at a number of locations throughout the city, and RE/MAX Legends Group agents help collect and distribute the toys to children 13 years and younger – brightening the holidays for many!

Even though these types of events are more common during the holidays, and these examples we shared are holiday related, we think it’s important to remember that giving back can happen at any time of the year.

If you have a company-initiated community service event that you’d like to share, please email Keri Henke in the Midwest or Tracy Aguila in New England to share your stories.
