Say cheers!  Agents with RE/MAX 100 in Mishawaka, IN are feeling elated with their most recent community event that doubled as a fundraiser for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.  The office hosted a “Saving Sips” event, a progressive happy hour at their office on November 15th.

Although the evening offered guests the opportunity to try signature cocktails, appetizers and desserts as they moved through the RE/MAX building, it wasn’t just about the nosh. There was also the opportunity to sponsor toys, games and art supplies on the Riley Children’s Hospital Wish List – a welcome addition just in time for Christmas!

“Our initial goal was to create an event that agents could get behind but that also invited the community to help give to CMN,” said Tori Yoder, RE/MAX 100 administrative support and event coordinator. “This is a very giving group of agents and very giving community.  We knew this could be a big lift for kids this holiday season.”

The idea was brought up to RE/MAX 100 agents and many associates jumped at the chance to help. They came up with cocktails to serve, offered to make desserts and appetizers. Others brought in soda and water. Each participant had their own table to decorate, share their goodies, and host.

“The invitation was open to everyone. Vendors came as guests. Community members. Past clients, spouses.” Tori chimed, “We did not gear it to one group, we said ‘Come one come all!’”

The event took place from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. and was open house style – open to the entire community.  Guests were welcome to attend at a time that worked for them, and walk through at their own pace, networking and mingling as they enjoyed the tasty spread.

And many enjoyed! Attended by over 100 people, RE/MAX 100 raised just under $11,000.  $5,000 of that will go to CMN and the rest was sponsorship of items right off of Riley Children’s Hospitals Wish List, their local CMN hospital.

Tori shares, “This amount will be added to the donations we have already made to CMN throughout the year with Honor Cards, bringing us to almost $20,000 raised for the year! We are thrilled with the level of support and outreach from our community and are excited to continue as a Miracle Office with such amazing agents!”
